REWARD of $3000 for information leading to the safe return of This Dog above to his/her owner

Did you witness this little white dog frantically try to follow his owner onto an evacuation bus on the I-610 between Paris Ave. and St. Bernard Ave. exits in New Orleans during the Hurricane Katrina evacuation? (Courtesy CBS News.) In the early days of the evacuation of the disaster area, pets were not allowed to be evacuated with their owners. This tiny dog was not allowed on the bus. Did you evacuate from the I-610 bridge? Did you drive one of these buses?

This officer carried the white dog to safety away from the departing buses.  Do you know the fate of this little white dog, possibly a miniature toy poodle or a Bichon ?

Do you remember the owner of this dog or know where they evacuated to?

Do you know the owner of the little white dog? Was the dog reunited with his owner whom he or she loved?

This televised plight of this tiny white would-be-bus-rider shocked, saddened and stunned the world with our lack of planning for the evacuation of our pet family members in a disaster. From this incident pet lovers the world over are in the process of preparing for the next disaster and urging lawmakers to allow pets to also be rescued in any and all evacuation plans  in the future.

It’s now time to learn the name and location of the little white dog who captured our hearts!

Please see www.katrinafoundpets.com or email Snoutmamma@aol.com if you witnessed this or know the owner and the little white dog.
